Commemorating Star Wars Day
- by Liam Doolan
It’s May the 4th, and you know what that signifies – it’s Star Wars Day! As part of this year’s festivities, developer Aspyr has unveiled a new ‘Grand Collection’ for the Switch.
The Star Wars: Grand Collection encompasses a total of nine games priced at $139.99 / £125.99. Currently, however, it’s on sale in select areas for half the price ($69.99 / £62.99 or its regional equivalent). Although not every Star Wars title on the Switch is included in this collection, it does feature some of Aspyr’s newer releases such as Bounty Hunter and Jedi Power Battles.
Here is the official description from Nintendo’s website along with the complete list of games:
Race towards triumph in the exhilarating podracing tracks of the Outer Rim, command an elite squad of Clones, track the galaxy’s most perilous bounties as Jango Fett, master the ways of the Force as Kyle Katarn, and relive the legendary skirmishes of the Jedi Order. Nine legendary Star Wars games, one memorable Grand Collection:
– STAR WARS: Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast
– STAR WARS: Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy
– STAR WARS: Republic Commando
– STAR WARS: Episode I Racer
– STAR WARS: The Force Unleashed
– STAR WARS: Knights of the Old Republic
– STAR WARS: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords
– STAR WARS: Bounty Hunter
– STAR WARS: Episode I: Jedi Power Battles
In addition to the half-price offer on the Grand Collection, there’s also a sale on the Star Wars game library for the Switch.
Nintendo is presenting several Star Wars trials for Switch Online members until next week. This includes the chance to test out Bounty Hunter and Power Battles – with save data transferable to the full versions.
What are your thoughts on this new bundle? Will you be observing Star Wars Day this year? We’d love to hear your opinions in the comments.
