EA commends its “immensely successful” performance
EA and Hazelight Studios have announced that Split Fiction has surpassed 4 million copies sold since its release on 6th March 2025.
In EA’s most recent financial report, the firm remarked that Split Fiction had a “remarkably successful launch,” which was promptly followed up by a social media update from Hazelight to celebrate the achievement.
Additionally, Split Fiction is set to arrive on the Nintendo Switch 2 on 5th June 2025, allowing cooperative gameplay with just a single copy of the game via the Friend Pass. This feature enables play with friends not only on Switch 2 but also across different consoles.
Nonetheless, the game has faced criticism on Switch 2 for utilizing the code-in-a-box model for its physical edition. It appears to be the only game to adopt this format, as other third-party developers have chosen the game-key card approach.
There have also been recent reports about a Split Fiction film, featuring actor Sydney Sweeney in a prominent role. The writers behind Deadpool and Wolverine are said to be crafting the screenplay for this adaptation.
