Sony Unveils the Exciting PlayStation Scream of Play Initiative This Week

Sony has revealed a forthcoming PlayStation State of Play presentation this week.

The livestream will take place the following day, 12th February at 10pm UK time (5pm ET / 11pm CET) on YouTube and Twitch.

This segment is expected to run for over 40 minutes and will showcase “news and updates about exciting games set to launch on PS5” from studios worldwide.

The announcement was made on the PlayStation Blog, yet little else is known about what to anticipate.

So what should we be ready to see? Sony currently has a limited number of confirmed first-party titles scheduled for 2025, making it exciting to discover what will be presented.

Ghost of Yotei and likely Death Stranding 2 are strong contenders to be featured, both anticipated to release in 2025. The former was first unveiled a year ago during a State of Play, while Ghost of Yotei was announced in September.

Interested in some live-service games? Sony still has several projects in development, including Bungie’s Marathon, along with Fairgame$ and Guerrilla’s eagerly awaited multiplayer edition of Horizon.

What else could be in store? Might there be additional PC adaptations of console exclusives on the way? Will we catch a glimpse of Marvel’s Wolverine, now that Insomniac is finished with Marvel’s Spider-Man 2? Could Bluepoint be working on a new project?
