Sonic the Hedgehog 3 has emerged as the second-highest-grossing video game film in history.
Trailing only behind The Super Mario Bros. Movie’s impressive $1.26 billion, the third installment of Sonic the Hedgehog has achieved $462 million globally, solidifying its place among the most successful video game adaptations ever made.
In comparison, Detective Pikachu earned $450 million, while the 2016 film Warcraft made $439 million.
Rampage, Uncharted, and the second Sonic the Hedgehog film reached gross earnings of $428 million, $407 million, and $405 million, respectively.
Sonic the Hedgehog 4 is set to premiere in theaters on March 19,
