Smash Bros creator Masahiro Sakurai was seemingly teasing his latest game Kirby Air Riders in plain sight for years, and I can’t believe no one noticed until now
Kirby enthusiasts have observed that Super Smash Bros. designer Masahiro Sakurai was concealing the fact he was developing Kirby Air Riders right in front of everyone in his previous tweets.
I believe it’s reasonable to suggest that there likely wasn’t a single individual on the planet who anticipated that one of the initial titles Nintendo declared for the Switch 2 back in April would be a successor to the GameCube game Kirby Air Ride. Although Air Ride continues to maintain a devoted fanbase to this day, the title itself received highly polarized reviews (with Edge rating it a 3/10), and – as a GameCube title – likely didn’t achieve exceptional sales either.
