Maggie Robertson has delivered plenty of bizarre scripts, having voiced the internet-beloved, people-chomping sorceress of Resident Evil Village, yet the performer insists the oddest phrases she’s ever spoken into a mic were conjured up for Baldur’s Gate 3.

During a conversation with David Hayter (yep, the gravel-throated legend behind Metal Gear’s Solid Snake), Robertson was quizzed about the most off-the-wall sentences she’s growled in a sound booth. Unsurprisingly, she points to Orin, one of the campaign’s central villains who worships anything agonizing, gory, or lethal.

“Most likely some of Orin’s babble from Baldur’s Gate 3, because she’s gloriously unhinged,” Robertson laughs in this FGS chat. As fabulously unbalanced as Lady Dimitrescu was, Robertson admits Orin cranks the lunacy dial even higher.

“Filthy, pig-mouthed little fibber” is elite-level mockery. “I shredded their hideous brain pulp, and should they crawl back I’ll yank out their guts,” is top-tier menace. The nearly sixty-minute clip beneath overflows with fiendish trash-talk and almost-flirtatious odes to brutality. Oddball? Absolutely. Addictive? Without question.

The actor behind Baldur’s Gate 3’s Astarion reveals his new dating-sim role resembled the vampire too closely, forcing him to model the voice on a sultry comedy icon from an ’80s UK sitcom

Kaan moonlights for several outlets including Rock Paper Shotgun, Eurogamer, and this fine corner of the web. He leans toward creepy indie gems, nostalgic RPGs, and anything gleefully absurd. He also owns a dusty degree in English Literature & Film Studies he’ll probably misplace.
