Sakurai Confirms Day One Update For Kirby Air Riders On Switch 2

While there are no present intentions for Kirby Air Riders DLC, during the recent livestream, game director Masahiro Sakurai has verified that there will be a day one update.

Indeed, similar to many other titles these days, this patch is said to be incorporating some of the “elements” mentioned during the latest livestream.

Masahiro Sakurai: “Some of the aspects I discussed today will be included through a day one update, so make sure to download the update if you’re intending to purchase the physical version.”

Earlier Nintendo launches, such as Mario Kart World, have occasionally launched day one updates to facilitate online play and activate specific functionalities. It appears that there may be a comparable update for Kirby Air Riders, based on a translated notification on the game’s Japanese store page listing:

Announcement from the producer “Update data is necessary to participate via internet or local communication.”

Thus, if you’re acquiring a physical edition of Kirby’s latest title, anticipate a download upon release. And when Nintendo publishes the formal patch notes, we will provide an update.
