In spite of recently committing to confidentiality about its upcoming update, REPO developer semiwork has disclosed a new feature slated for launch on October 30. This addition, dubbed tumble-grab, essentially performs exactly as its name implies… and a bit more.

As showcased and illustrated in a quirky new video update presented by REPO marketing leader Pontus Sundström, tumble-grab will enable you to clutch onto items even while in a tumbling motion. Although that may not appear significant at first glance, it paves the way for numerous diverse options.

To begin with, it isn’t merely items you can grasp; you can also latch onto surfaces, allowing for a rather awkward maneuvering up and around walls and ceilings. In essence, you’ll be able to ascend various structures, though the action does not resemble traditional climbing.

Another beneficial aspect of tumble-grab is its utility in seizing weapons when being tossed about by creatures like the Mentalist. Where you would typically find yourself relatively vulnerable, soon you’ll have the ability to grab a nearby shotgun and obliterate that menace.

Semiwork emphasizes that tumble-grab remains a “work in progress,” which transitions nicely into what you’re all here for: demise by twerking. Indeed, Sundström and his fellow developers spend a substantial portion of the video reveling in the delight of maneuvering the tumble-grab to “twerk enemies to death.”

Sundström didn’t delve deeply into the specifics of how this feature might “break our game,” as highlighted in the video title, but it appears they are still attempting to twerk, um, fine-tune some issues.

You’ll have the chance to tumble-grab to your heart’s extent with REPO’s forthcoming update next month, and Sundström mentions there are “additional surprises awaiting” for us too.
