REPO (or R.E.P.O. or The Retrieve, Extract & Profit Operation) stands out as one of this year’s most surprising successes and one of the notable emerging cooperative experiences since the eerie Lethal Company. Following its surge in popularity on Steam, the development team at Semiwork has been diligently working on its inaugural update, which is drawing nearer.
Semiwork’s recent Q&A video explores some of the upcoming modifications in this update, notably the possible elimination of the game’s most useful glitch. In REPO, after you have evaded the supernatural horrors and loaded your spoils into the truck, you can simply hold a health pack while exiting the vehicle and repeatedly tap E to regain health at no cost. This trick isn’t a well-kept secret; numerous tutorials showcasing how to execute it have garnered thousands of views.
“We have a solid understanding of the exploits and glitches that the current live version presents, and most of these issues have already been addressed. They will be included in the first update,” developer Pontus Sundstrom notes in the recent Q&A.
In addition, the developer discussed the prospect of introducing a stamina regeneration upgrade “that would activate when you crouch, although this is still a conceptual idea,” so the team seeks community feedback before finalizing its implementation. “Is this a viable suggestion?”
