Greetings everyone, and welcome to yet another installment of Box Art Brawl!

Reflecting on last week, we examined Star Wars: Rogue Squadron for the N64, placing North America and Europe against Japan. It was quite the landslide, with the western artwork triumphing with a notable 89% of the votes. 89%! We also appreciate the Japanese artwork…

This week, we’re focusing on Disney’s Magical Quest 3 Starring Mickey And Donald for the GBA. Why? Simply because that’s the one I stumbled upon first, alright? Launched in 2005, it was a conversion of the original 1995 SNES version and received fairly mediocre critiques, with most considering it inferior to its predecessors.

But let’s get to the point. This week features a full-scale brawl with three contenders. So let’s get going!

Don’t forget to cast your votes in the poll below; but first, let’s observe the box art designs themselves.

North America

Europe and Japan exhibit resemblances this week, yet North America opted for a different path in its design. Mickey and Donald are still featured prominently, but they’re relaxing in a forested area, and Mickey is decked out in his knight’s armor. Cool.

Europe

The European artwork appears slightly more action-oriented, and Donald sports a different outfit here too. Both characters are attacking and striking adversaries, while the logo design bears similarity to North America’s, albeit with a darker shadow around the letters.

Japan

Japan’s design utilizes the same illustrations as Europe’s, but this time you can view them in greater detail. We adore the logo design here as well, although we must acknowledge that the yellow background is somewhat unappealing.

Thank you for participating! We’ll catch you next time for another clash of Box Art Brawl.
