By In merely a few months, witnessing a Pikachu nestled among trees in the Pokemon Forest will transform into a reality with the debut of PokePark Kanto. The Tokyo-based venue is scheduled to greet its inaugural guests on February 5.
The Pokemon Company has announced that tickets will become available for purchase on November 21 at 1 AM PT / 4 AM ET. PokePark Kanto “will be the first-ever lasting outdoor Pokemon attraction,” situated on 26,000 square meters of territory at Yomiuriland. The Pokemon theme park is essentially divided into two sections: Pokemon Forest and Sedge Town.
The Pokemon Forest provides a chance to observe the pocket monsters amidst nature. A PokePark Kanto trailer–displayed above–highlights a pack of Eevees darting through the grass, while a Charizard stands guard along the path. Simultaneously, Sedge Town illustrates the coexistence of Pokemon and humans. Guests can reportedly enjoy a performance at the Pokemon Gym there and even sprint around a Battle Court.
The early 2026 launch timeframe for PokePark Kanto was initially disclosed during a Pokemon Presents in July. The theme park was first introduced in late 2023. Kanto serves as the backdrop for the original games in the series, Pokemon Red and Blue. Consequently, PokePark Kanto will act as a 30th-anniversary tribute to the franchise.
Pokemon Legends: Z-A, the most recent title in the franchise, launched last month for Switch and Switch 2. The RPG swiftly moved 5.8 million units, and overall, Pokemon video games have achieved approximately half a billion units sold.
