Pokémon Pokopia, the forthcoming life simulation ‘mon title created by Koei Tecmo, will debut on Switch 2 on 5th March 2026. It will retail for $69.99 / £58.99.
Additionally, on Thursday 13th November 2025 at 6am PST / 9am EST / 2pm BST, The Pokémon Company will unveil a trailer for the 2026 Switch 2 exclusive (thanks, Gematsu!). A YouTube Premiere has been scheduled for the date on the Japanese YouTube channel. English trailers are likely to be released shortly after the premiere begins.
In somewhat associated news, Nintendo has also released a trailer regarding Game-Key Cards, which appears to indicate that Pokopia will be a Game Key-Card launch. It does display SAMPLE across the top, though, but that is probably for the key art…

Unveiled during the September 2025 Nintendo Direct, Pokémon Pokopia appears utterly charming. Integrating life simulation elements into the immensely popular franchise for the first time ever, it seems to fuse Animal Crossing, Minecraft, Dragon Quest Builders, and numerous other cozy titles.
This marks a brand new path for the series and is notably the very first Switch 2 exclusive for the Pokémon franchise. We are eager to see what insights the trailer offers on Thursday.
