About half of the revenue was for Switch 2
The Pokémon Company has revealed that Pokémon Legends: Z-A has achieved a total of 5.8 million units sold globally in its initial week.
This figure encompasses the overall sales of both the Switch and Switch 2 physical editions alongside digital purchases. As per the official announcement, around half of these figures pertain to the Switch 2. In contrast, Pokémon Legends: Arceus garnered 6.5 million units worldwide in its opening week.
Nearly 1.5 million units of Pokémon Legends: Z-A have reportedly been sold in Japan thus far. This comprises 872,552 units on Switch and 612,905 units on Switch 2. The statistics in this area are said to surpass the Pokémon Legends: Arceus launch week in this region by about 60,000 copies.

This follows UK chart statistics earlier this week, which revealed Z-A secured the top position during its initial week. Further insights for this specific area indicated that the total boxed sales of the new installment were 40% lower than those of Pokémon Legends: Arceus, and 51% of sales in this area were for the Switch 2 version.
