Pokemon Go‘s Tales of Transformation season carries on in October featuring a myriad of diverse events scheduled over the coming weeks. In addition to fresh Spotlight Hours and raid bosses, the game will present several autumn-inspired activities this month such as the Harvest Festival, which will unveil two new evolved stages of Applin.

Each Tuesday evening from 6-7 PM local time, a specific species of Pokemon will be more prevalent in the wild. Moreover, you’ll collect an additional reward for participating in the event, such as double Stardust or XP when capturing Pokemon.

Pokemon Go is commencing October with the Steel Skyline event, which will continue until October 7.

Mega Metagross is making its long-anticipated Pokemon Go debut as part of a Mega Raid Day event on October 4.

This Mega-Evolved Pokemon will appear in gyms as a Mega raid boss from 2-5 PM local time. Each Metagross you encounter will have the ghost-type Fast Attack Shadow Claw, and you’ll have a heightened probability of meeting a shiny one if you successfully complete the raid.

A couple of bonuses will also be active throughout the event. As is customary, the number of Remote Raid Passes you can possess will temporarily elevate to 20, allowing you to engage in more battles remotely. Additionally, you can gain up to five extra complimentary Raid Passes when you spin the Photo Disc at gyms.

Harvest Festival

Pokemon Go is commemorating the onset of autumn with a Harvest Festival event from October 10-16.

As part of the celebrations, two new Pokemon are debuting in the game: Dipplin and Hydrapple. You will also be able to gather a new kind of item: Syrupy Apples. These may show up at PokeStops that are fitted with an active Mossy Lure Module.

Other seasonal Pokemon like Miltank, Combee, and Smoliv will also appear more often during the event, and several bonuses will be active. You’ll earn double candy when capturing a Pokemon with Pinap or Silver Pinap Berries, and you’ll have augmented odds of finding shiny versions of Pumpkaboo and Smoliv.

October’s Community Day is scheduled for October 12, featuring the psychic-type Pokemon, Solosis.

Between 2-5 PM local time, you’ll encounter Solosis in the wild more often than usual, providing a great opportunity to catch some and gather Solosis candy. With the heightened spawn rate, your chances of finding a shiny Solosis will also improve.

As the spotlight Pokemon, Solosis can learn a special move exclusive to this event. If you manage to evolve one into Reuniclus by 9 PM local time, it will automatically acquire the fairy-type Fast Attack, Charm, upon evolution.

Additionally, there are some in-game perks associated with the event. You’ll gain triple Stardust and double candy for capturing Pokemon, while trainers at level 31 and above will have double the likelihood of receiving Candy XL. Furthermore, any Incense activated will remain effective for three hours, and Lure Modules will last one hour.

Pokemon Go is marking the debut of Pokemon Legends: Z-A with a unique crossover event from October 16-20.

During this event, Mega raids at gyms will occur more often, providing additional opportunities to complete your Pokedex and earn Mega Energy. The second phase of Pokemon Go’s Halloween 2025 festivities will take place from October 27-November 2.

During this segment of the celebration, numerous Pokemon adorned in costumes will appear in the wild and as raid bosses. In addition to costumed Pokemon from earlier years, you will also have the chance to meet some new eerie Pokemon, such as Teddiursa in a witch hat and Noibat with a headband.
