Released by Udon Entertainment last November with a suggested retail price of $75, this 500-page monumental book is available for just $62.20 on Amazon. It’s labeled as a limited-time offer, although the promotion’s end date remains uncertain.
If you’re interested in acquiring a book that offers an in-depth look at the artistic journey behind one of the most prominent games in its genre, you shouldn’t hesitate for too long. Official Design Works volumes on previous entries in the Persona and Shin Megami Tensei series have been out of print for years.

This is truly a dual art book, as it provides insights into both Persona 5 and its enhanced iteration, Persona 5 Royal.
Since it discusses two games, this newly translated edition is larger than the typical video game art book. The 544-page hardcover is filled with artwork from the early development stages through to promotional materials used for the completed games.
The collection features artwork, sketches, character illustrations, and concept designs, all accompanied by commentary from the development team. Additionally, there is an exclusive interview with Persona series artist Shigenori Soejima.
If you haven’t yet explored it, Persona 5 narrates the tale of the Phantom Thieves, high school students who rescue individuals from the distorted desires of those around them by unleashing the power of their true selves. It’s refreshingly unique, and definitely worth experiencing. The game is available on all current platforms. Since it has been available for a while, you can find a great deal on a game that will keep you engaged for countless hours. If you really want to treat yourself, you might consider this collector’s edition of Persona 5 Royal. The 1 More Edition is sold out for Nintendo Switch and Xbox, but Amazon still has a few copies for PS5.
Atlus enthusiasts may also want to consider the forthcoming guidebook for Metaphor: ReFantazio, the studio’s newest IP. Metaphor: ReFantazio’s Official Strategy Guide is set to release on April 15 and is currently available for preorder for $55 on Amazon.
