Do not anticipate receiving any hints from Pedro Pascal – the Fantastic Four actor is being exceedingly evasive regarding any potential future Marvel appearances.
“Blink twice if Chris Evans is set to appear in Fantastic Four or Avengers: Doomsday. Blink twice if he is, blink once if he isn’t,” German outlet Netzwelt queried the performer during a recent discussion.
“Are you using English or German? I’m unable to determine,” Pascal humorously responded. “I didn’t grasp a single word of what he mentioned… I’ve just gone into… a blackout.”
Naturally, Chris Evans hasn’t portrayed Captain America since Avengers: Endgame, after his character Steve Rogers handed the shield to Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson. However, Evans did make a cameo in another recent Marvel film.
He resumed his character as Johnny Storm, otherwise known as Human Torch, from the 2005 Fantastic Four in Deadpool and Wolverine as one of the variants the main characters encounter in the Void. And with Robert Downey Jr. making a return to the MCU in a new capacity as the supervillain Doctor Doom, what could prevent a similar situation from occurring with Evans?
The Fantastic Four: First Steps is the inaugural film of Marvel Phase 6 and will feature Pascal as Reed Richards, AKA Mister Fantastic, together with Vanessa Kirby’s Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn’s Johnny Storm/Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach’s Ben Grimm/The Thing.
The quartet will reenact their characters in Avengers: Doomsday, which is set to be released in December 2026, and includes a large ensemble cast of recognizable comic book film personalities such as Chris Hemsworth, Paul Rudd, Florence Pugh, Ian McKellen, and Patrick Stewart.
The Fantastic Four: First Steps premieres in UK cinemas on July 24 and US theaters on July 25. In the meantime, take a look at our guide to the remaining upcoming
