EVO Japan is happening this weekend and there have already been some exciting game announcements. Among them is a fresh crossover involving Blizzard’s Overwatch 2 and the Capcom game Street Fighter 6.
Blizzard unveiled this collaboration on the first day of the event. This crossover will bring Street Fighter 6 characters into the universe of Overwatch 2, featuring new skins alongside their signature abilities.
The event will commence in Overwatch 2 later this month on 20th May 2025. Below are the character matchups to look forward to (via EventHubs):
- Hanzo x Ryu
- Juno x Chun-Li
- Kiriko x Juri
- Widowmaker x Cammy
- Zenyatta x Dhalsim
- Soldier: 76 x Guile
- Winston x Blanka
- Sigma x M. Bison
You can watch all the EVO Japan events live on Twitch and YouTube this weekend. Regarding Overwatch 2, it’s available as a free-to-play game on the Switch, while Street Fighter 6 will launch for Switch 2 on 5th June 2025.
