Amazon is presenting rare reductions on both of the officially licensed Mario Kart Racing Wheels for the Nintendo Switch. Created by regular Nintendo accessory partner Hori, these wheels include pedals and feature wired USB connections. Hori’s Mario Kart Pro Deluxe Racing Wheel is now priced at only $77, previously $110. For younger players, the ideal choice may be the Mario Kart Pro Mini Racing Wheel at $54.52 (originally $70).
Are these racing wheels compatible with Nintendo Switch 2?

Although we haven’t been able to fully verify compatibility with Switch 2, Nintendo has indicated that the new console is backward compatible with several original Switch accessories. The Switch 2 Dock contains two USB-A ports, so you should be able to utilize Hori’s wheels to compete in Mario Kart World. Wired and Bluetooth Switch controllers are anticipated to function properly on Switch 2, particularly with approved accessories such as Hori’s racing wheels.
We have contacted Hori to verify compatibility with Switch 2 and will update this article if we receive a response. Just be aware that there is a possibility that neither wheel may operate on Switch 2. While that would be surprising, until we can test it or obtain official confirmation, we cannot be entirely certain regarding the backward compatibility of any accessories.
Additionally, it is noteworthy that Nintendo is launching Joy-Con 2 wheel attachments alongside the Switch 2 and Mario Kart World on June 5. You will be able to insert a Joy-Con 2 Controller into the wheel and enjoy playing Mario Kart with motion controls. You can preorder the Joy-Con 2 Wheel Set for $25 at Walmart and other leading retailers.
Hori Mario Kart Racing Wheel Pro Deluxe
$77 (was $110)
The Pro Deluxe variant features a full-sized steering wheel adorned in a deep red and black color palette. It includes textured grips, a robust base, a pair of pedals, and conveniently positioned buttons in the areas where your hands naturally rest. The ZR and ZL triggers are located on the wheel’s rounded edge, while the face buttons, D-pad, and various menu inputs are arranged through the center. In addition to its larger size and sophisticated feel, a significant advantage is the presence of detachable paddles. These paddles, combined with the positioning of the ZR and ZL triggers, enable you to engage in Mario Kart and other racing games without needing to change your hand position to reach buttons.
Hori Mario Kart Racing Wheel Pro Mini
$54.52 (was $70)
The Pro Mini showcases a color scheme inspired by the reds and blues present in Mario’s famous attire. Like its larger counterpart, it sports a central Mario logo accompanied by various buttons surrounding it, which include a D-pad, four face buttons, and menu buttons. The four triggers/bumpers are situated in the center, indicated as yellow buttons. Though it lacks the textured wheel cover or removable paddles of the more expensive model, it still provides a pair of pedals for acceleration and braking.
Mario Kart World marks the inaugural open-world installment in the franchise and stands as the most substantial launch title for Switch 2. It’s obtainable to
preorder at $80 through several vendors, but there’s no need to purchase it separately if you are able to get a preorder for the Mario Kart World Switch 2 Bundle. Sadly, preorders for the Switch 2 swiftly sold out after they launched on April 24, and it’s uncertain if and when more will be available before the system is released next month.
Either way, preorders can still be made for many of the officially licensed and first-party Switch 2 launch add-ons.
