The Pokémon Company has been stoking anticipation for Pokémon Legends: Z-A through successive Mega Evolution announcements.
Following the newest promo clip, Mega Malamar is now formally unveiled. Psionic energy pours out of its frame, radiating an intense light and boosting its mind-bending talents. Additional details from the official site follow:
“Its expanded brain and heightened psychic might let this Dark- and Psychic-type rewrite the memories and personalities of those nearby. Expect a tough fight thanks to its hypnotic prowess.”
This Mega Evolution arrives on the heels of Mega Victreebel and Mega Hawlucha’s debuts. A host of additional Mega forms will appear in the game, launching next month for Switch and Switch 2 on 16 October 2025.
