Nintendo Singapore seeks to boost its operations
Nintendo is consistently expanding its operations in various manners, and today it has revealed the formation of a new local entity situated in the Republic of Singapore.
As per the official announcement, Nintendo Singapore was launched last week on 26th September 2025. The objective is to enhance the company’s growth in Southeast Asia, with managing director Takahiro Miura at the helm. Here are the announcement and details:
“Nintendo Co., Ltd. (HQ: Kyoto, Japan, President and Representative Director: Shuntaro Furukawa; hereinafter “Nintendo”) is pleased to inform that on September 26, 2025 it established Nintendo Singapore Pte. Ltd., a new local entity in the Republic of Singapore aimed at boosting Nintendo’s operations in Southeast Asia.”

The same statement also indicates that Nintendo is contemplating the creation of a local entity in the Kingdom of Thailand to expedite operations in this area. Earlier this year, Nintendo additionally established a new subsidiary in Taiwan, which included the launch of the Nintendo eShop in that region.
This comes on the heels of the introduction of the Switch 2 in June, with sales of the new console already skyrocketing. Within less than a week, the device has sold over 3.5 million units globally, and by the conclusion of the first month, it had already sold over 6 million units.
