Turtle Beach’s newly launched Donkey Kong-themed controller is available at a discount for the first time during Amazon’s early Black Friday gaming sale. The Turtle Beach Rematch Donkey Kong Reveal Edition debuted last month priced at $60, but Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 users can acquire the officially licensed wireless controller for $49 while supplies endure.
Unveiled just a few days following the launch of Donkey Kong Bananza in July, the Donkey Kong Reveal Edition features lenticular artwork that transforms as you tilt the controller. With the Switch 2 console and Donkey Kong Bananza, likely to be sought-after gifts this holiday season, this Donkey Kong-inspired controller could serve as an excellent supplementary present.

Adorned in shades of green and black with red highlights, it displays DK and Diddy Kong racing through the jungle. The rear buttons are red, while the triggers are green, ensuring it catches attention in your game area. Its lenticular design signifies that the controller’s appearance will slowly shift as you manipulate it, exposing fresh layers of detail.
Regarding the internal technology, if you’ve ever utilized a PDP Rematch Wireless Controller, that is fundamentally what this model represents. Turtle Beach acquired PDP in 2024 and has introduced rebranded versions of select PDP accessories like the favored Rematch.
The Rematch connects wirelessly to Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 consoles via Bluetooth and offers up to 40 hours of gameplay on a complete charge. It includes two integrated back buttons that can be remapped dynamically and features six-axis motion controls.

There are superior third-party Switch controllers available at comparable price points, including the 8BitDo Ultimate Bluetooth with a travel case for $45 (was $70) and the newer Ultimate 2 Bluetooth for $63 (initially $70), but the Rematch remains the only option available in stores currently that features a Donkey Kong theme.

PowerA, another leading creator of officially licensed Nintendo controllers, has recently introduced the first third-party wireless controller with the C Button for GameChat on Switch 2. The PowerA Advantage Wireless Controller is offered in Super Mario and Pokemon designs. It includes Hall Effect joysticks, customizable back buttons, motion controls, and the familiar Switch Pro-style layout. You can save five dollars on the Mario and Pokemon editions, reducing the cost to $65 (was $70). The wired variant of the PowerA Advantage is discounted to as little as $28.65 (was $40) for a retro Super Mario style.
