From New Line Cinema comes the newest high-stakes chapter in the blockbuster video game series in all its savage splendor, Mortal Kombat II. This time, the beloved champions—now accompanied by Johnny Cage himself—are squared off against each other in the ultimate, no-holds barred, gruesome struggle to thwart the sinister reign of Shao Kahn that jeopardizes the very survival of the Earthrealm and its defenders.

The Mortal Kombat II movie excitement train is ready to depart, with Warner Bros. today unveiling a teaser connected to the forthcoming action film, which lands in cinemas on 24th October 2025.

It’s actually an “in-universe film teaser” for ‘Uncaged Fury’ featuring Johnny Cage, portrayed by The Boys sensation Karl Urban. Here’s the summary via IGN. Also, just a heads-up, there is some profanity and an inappropriate gesture (Johnny flipping the bird) in the video above.

“Uncaged Fury showcases the legendary Johnny Cage tackling a group of thugs with remarkable ease, utilizing pipes, quick combat skills, and an energy unparalleled.”

As for the official Mortal Kombat II trailer, it’s set to air later today on YouTube, so we’ll keep you updated when it premieres.
