Clear some room for third-party titles
The Switch 2 is on its way, and as a next-gen console, its games will inevitably require more storage space.
We have already covered various first-party games and their anticipated storage demands on the 256GB internal memory. Now, some projected file sizes for third-party titles have emerged. This information has been provided by Necro Felipe from Universo Nintendo (featured on GoNintendo):
- Fortnite – 29.5 GB
- Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition – 56.8 GB
- HITMAN World of Assassination Signature Edition – 61 GB
- Split Fiction – 71 GB
- Street Fighter 6 – 48.8 GB
It has also been reiterated that Donkey Kong Bananza will require roughly 10GB. Clearly, these third-party offerings occupy significantly more space than Nintendo’s first-party titles. Aside from DK, the largest game Nintendo seems set to launch alongside the Switch 2 is Mario Kart World, which will take up around 23.4GB.
If you are concerned about running out of space on the Switch 2, remember that in addition to the 256GB internal storage, you can also expand your capacity using a Micro SD Express card.
Are you planning to purchase any of the above titles for the Switch 2? Share your thoughts in the comments.
