MindsEye: A Deep Dive into the Groundbreaking Single-Player Experience from GTA’s Visionaries
This evening provided a closer look at gameplay for MindsEye, the enigmatic new high-budget single-player project from former GTA producer Leslie Benzies and his studio, Make A Rocket Boy.
Sony’s State of Play presentation unveiled a new cinematic trailer, confirming a summer 2025 release window for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. It seems like MindsEye will launch just prior to Benzies’ former associates releasing GTA 6 this autumn!
MindsEye was initially introduced as part of In every direction, an ambitious initiative by Make A Rocket Boy aimed at creating a new gaming platform similar to Fortnite and Roblox. However, this plan seems to have been set aside, and in October 2024, it was revealed that Hitman studio IO Interactive had taken on publishing responsibilities for MindsEye – likely as a standalone title.
“I’ve devoted my entire career to creating engaging interactive entertainment for players,” Benzies stated in a press release today. “With MindsEye, we’ve elevated cinematic storytelling to new heights – crafting characters and a world that feels vibrantly alive. We are excited for players to dive in and experience the immersive authenticity and relentless dedication put into every aspect of the game.”
Today’s look at MindsEye offers our best glimpse yet at its narrative, featuring protagonist explorations.
