A fresh Carrie cast image has us persuaded that the horror series is destined for multiple seasons, even though it is inspired by one of Stephen King’s briefest novels.
One of Mike Flanagan’s regular partners, Michael Trucco, took to Instagram on October 30 to reveal the official picture, accompanied by a sincere caption that characterized the forthcoming series as “something truly remarkable… and incredibly entertaining!”
“A heartfelt thank you to [Mike Flanagan] for navigating the project and envisioning this entire concept,” Trucco noted in his post. “You’re a phenomenal creator, Mike, and I’m fortunate to be in your universe.”
Promising to be a “courageous and timely reinterpretation of the tale of outcast high-school student Carrie White,” as outlined by the show’s synopsis, it aims to delve into how the isolated life of the telekinetic teenager, her overbearing mother, and her vicious classmates contributed to the manifestation of her enigmatic, perilous abilities and a heartbreaking incident that impacted the community.
Summer H. Howell is set to portray Carrie, while Samantha Sloyan brings passionate matriarch Margaret White to existence. Kate Siegel, Rahul Kohli, Katee Sackhoff, Siena Agudong, Alison Thornton, Thalia Dudek, Amber Midthunder, Josie Totah, Arthur Conti, Joel Oulette, and Matthew Lillard complete the ensemble cast.
