Recently, we have witnessed numerous first-party Xbox titles migrate to PS5, and one of the following games to arrive on Sony’s system is a major one: Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. The newest installment in the longstanding flight simulation series is set to launch on PS5 on December 8. The game will be obtainable both physically and digitally for $70, and preorders are currently active. Purchasing a copy in advance will grant an additional aircraft, the Northrop T-38A Talon, to fly in-game.
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2025 (PS5) Preorder Incentive

As noted earlier, preordering any edition of Microsoft Flight Simulator on PS5 will grant access to the Northrop T-38A Talon as an additional in-game aircraft, allowing players to operate the supersonic jet as soon as they begin.
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024
$70 | Launches December 8
For the PS5 edition, gamers can look forward to the same meticulously depicted world, flight routes, and aircraft as the PC and Xbox Series X|S iterations of the game. The developer, Asobo Studio, has introduced multiple noteworthy post-launch enhancements, and the PS5 edition will showcase up to 125 highly detailed aircraft. In addition to flying business jets and ultralight planes, Flight Simulator 2024 also features airships, hot air balloons, rotorcraft, and fighter jets.
This version of Flight Simulator 2024 will also incorporate several PlayStation-exclusive elements tailored specifically for the DualSense controller. Adaptive triggers will react to varying speeds and ground types to enhance immersion; air traffic control communications will be emitted through the controller speaker, and additional features will leverage the DualSense lightbar, gyro controls, and touchpad. Owners of PS VR2 will have the opportunity to experience the complete game via their headset when a complimentary update for Flight Simulator 2024 is released in 2026.
Thrustmaster T-Flight Hotas One Microsoft Flight Sim 2024 Collectors Edition (PC and Xbox Series X|S)
Although Flight Simulator 2024 can be thoroughly enjoyed using a standard controller on a console, nothing rival a genuine flight stick for providing the sensation of truly being in a cockpit. There is no lack of options available, and while the top models can be somewhat expensive, affordable choices exist as well. The official Flight Simulator 2024 flight stick from Thrustmaster is robust, and attractively priced at $107.
This device is compatible with Xbox Series X|S and PC, boasting a design that offers 10-bit accuracy across five axes—including the Z axis—14 programmable buttons, a quick-response trigger, and a multidirectional hat switch. All of this equipment is encased in a sleek white shell featuring Flight Simulator 2024 branding, and you can detach the joystick from the throttle.
Logitech G Pro Flight Yoke System (PC)
$150 (originally $180)
If you seek authentic yoke controls, Logitech provides a device crafted to mimic that piloting experience on PC. Within the package, you’ll discover the flight yoke along with a lengthy USB connector cable, the flight throttle quadrant, and desk clamps. This controller features a stainless steel yoke shaft designed to deliver precise and smooth control, while its inputs include a POV hat switch, 14 buttons, and a three-position mode switch for further customization.
This can also be compatible with Logitech’s other flight simulation devices due to its modular construction, so if you aspire to create a genuine cockpit, the company does offer switches, flight instruments, and radio panels alongside flight rudder pedals.
As previously mentioned, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is among multiple Microsoft-published titles releasing physically on PS5. Some, like Gears of War: Reloaded, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, and Doom: The Dark Ages, are already accessible, while others are coming soon, like Ninja Gaiden 4 on October 21 and The Outer Worlds 2 on October 29. Forza Horizon 6 has also been confirmed to be in development for Xbox Series X|S, PC, and PS5, with a release window set for 2026.
