Additional Mega Man excitement in 2026
Capcom revealed details about Mega Man Star Force: Legacy Collection in September, indicating that this fresh retro compilation would be launched on the Switch at some time in 2026.
In a recent update, this new collection comprising various titles from the DS era has now been assigned an E10+ rating by the ESRB – with the rating including “Fantasy Violence” and “Users Interact”. Here’s the full official ESRB summary:
“Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection is classified E10+ for Everyone 10+ by the ESRB featuring Fantasy Violence. Also includes Users Interact. This collection consists of action role-playing games in which players assist characters in combating viruses in a futuristic landscape. Players engage with characters, navigate fantasy settings, and utilize battle cards to execute attacks on adversaries in an arena. Battle-card assaults comprise energy blasts, punches, kicks, bombs, ice blasts, and swords. A high-resolution art gallery illustrates other violent actions: robots being sliced in half or impaled by swords; a character shown with arrows protruding from his back.”
Protodude, the proprietor of the Mega Man fan site Rockman Corner, also points out how the “initial three releases”, which debuted as a series in 2006/07, all had ‘E’ ratings back at that time in this same place. With some luck, enthusiasts won’t have to wait much longer for the revival of these games.
Once again, here are the titles and additional versions from this series featured in this collection. You can find out more regarding what to anticipate from this new compilation in our prior coverage here on Nintendo Life.
