Marvel Rivals Season 2 quietly made one big cheeky change without telling anyone by buffing all the male hero’s assets

Marvel Rivals Season 2 has arrived, bringing a plethora of new content to the game. Emma Frost, new maps, revamped ranking systems! However, arguably the season’s most audacious change is one that NetEase didn’t announce, probably because stating ‘we enhanced all the male characters’ backsides’ might be a tad too uncomfortable for the patch notes.

Indeed, that’s the situation at hand. As soon as Season 2 launched, players began to observe that some, umm, assets had been amusingly enhanced. And by that, I mean all the male heroes’ behinds have been noticeably enlarged and now align more closely with the female characters in the game (and caked up Venom.)

“I don’t understand why no one brings this up,” noted one Redditor pointed out, alongside a screenshot depicting before and after images of Wolverine. After all, people clearly enjoy past screenshots showcasing characters’ rears, “but they have increased the size of many men’s backsides and the areas between their legs.”

Another Reddit post makes a comparative analysis between before and after with characters such as Mr. Incredible, Star-Lord, Moon Knight, and The Winter Soldier.

“What surprises me is how subtle it is,” remarked one commenter. “Like someone meticulously adjusted these cheek sizes, aiming for perfection. What an artisan.”

The memes and posts that emerged from this situation are more than just Marvel Rivals gamers showcasing their enthusiasm – it’s a representation of how these heroes appear to be packed with muscle, yet their lack of definition in other areas remained painfully unrealistic.

“It gives me strange vibes to see characters with arms larger than their heads but lacking behinds and bulges,” one participant shared. “These characters are portrayed with curves in the comics. So I question whether it’s just censorship or something else. The absence of rear assets has nothing to do with the source material.”
