Devotees of the Marvel Cinematic Universe have been racking their gray matter to predict which caped crusaders and gamma-fuelled brawlers will survive the forthcoming animated show, Marvel Zombies. The freshly released and darkly comedic teaser splattered slow-motion claret across the screen, showing Blade (as Moon Knight) julienning Ghost while your friendly wall-crawler rips undead noggins off as casually as snacking on fruit. Yet, for all that crowd-pleasing carnage, viewers remain jittery about which champions might leave the series with more than a scratch.
On Reddit, one user tallied the officially announced ensemble and sized up who among this ill-fated lineup might still be breathing once the credits roll. The rumored casualty roster may sting for some, yet it strikes many as a credible forecast. A commenter wagered that Red Guardian (David Harbour), Shang-Chi (Simu Liu), Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld), and Yelena (Florence Pugh) will perish in self-sacrificing fashion before shuffling over to serve the Scarlet Witch’s (Elizabeth Olsen) shambling horde.
Another poster envisioned an even gloomier outcome: “I’m betting the whole roster bites the dust and nothing remains. It’d be wild if they trailed the comics and pivoted toward a cosmic arc—plenty to chew on among the stars.” Someone else foresaw an entire MCU nation crumbling, remarking, “I doubt anybody escapes from Wakanda intact.”
Still, an enthusiastic spectator suspects the series will yank the rug—only to reveal creeping corpses beneath. “Most will keel over, but Yelena, Shang-Chi, and Kamala feel positioned as headliners. Brace yourselves: Ant-Man’s noggin, T’Challa, and especially Spider-Man could be early appetizers.”
We’ll discover who lands in the graveyard and who returns groaning when Marvel Zombies lurches onto Disney+ on September 24. Meanwhile, peek at the other MCU adventures heading down the pipeline right here.
