Daredevil: Born Again supporters who were speculating that Foggy Nelson’s demise in the first episode might have been a false alarm have seemingly been validated due to the official Daredevil Instagram account, which shared a series of images comparing scenes from the show to panels from the comics that inspired them.

The intriguing part is that the death scene depicted for Foggy Nelson, from 1998’s Daredevil #82 created by Ed Brubaker and illustrated by Michael Lark and Frank D’Armata, does not actually show Foggy dying. It indicates that Foggy is pretending to be dead.

The situation sparked the unusual Foggy Nelson fan-theory thanks to a subtly placed Easter egg in the background of the opening scene of episode one, which references it. In the comics, Foggy does seemingly perish, but it is later revealed that his death is actually a ruse, crafted as a guise for him to enter witness protection.

Foggy adopts a new identity, attempting to distance himself from his previous life. However, he is compelled to return to New York City and reveal himself to Matt Murdock when Daredevil’s enemies track him down. Could this signal a glimpse of what might unfold in Daredevil: Born Again season two, which is presently in production?

It’s not entirely improbable. Considering that the comparison is coming from an official social media platform, rather than just fan speculation, the odds are relatively high that the post serves as a hint to keen-eyed fans that the Foggy Nelson theories are about to be confirmed.
