Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP’s Switch 2 Upgrade Gets Last-Minute Delay

Aficionados of profoundly gory, sweetly delightful mayhem were probably thrilled to acquire Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition later this month. Regrettably, you’ll have to wait a tad longer, as Dragami Games has revealed a last-minute postponement. The game will now commence in early 2026.

However, there is a valid justification for the delay this time — “Although the title was originally intended for a digital-only launch, we were inundated with requests for a physical edition following the announcement,” the developer mentions on social media.

“In response, and with the collaboration of various publishing partners, we can now facilitate physical releases for numerous regions.” The delay is to ensure that both the digital and physical editions will debut simultaneously.

Thus, we believe we can all endure just a few extra months to obtain the game in cartridge form, correct? At least, we trust it will be a comprehensive physical release.

We are hopeful that the Switch 2 Edition rectifies some of our concerns with Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP on the Switch, which experienced inconsistent performance. It might not be the finest game globally, but it has achieved a cult following, so we were let down with the rerelease.
