If you’ve ever contemplated how the Kentucky Derby would appear if attendees swapped their elaborate hats for medieval attire, Bohemia Interactive has answered that question. The developer has unveiled Patch 1.3 for Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, which introduces significant alterations, including the addition of horse racing to the game—alongside several fresh quests.
The horse racing feature is accessible in the Nomads’ camp located in the Trosky province, where players can engage in either cross-country races or mounted archery events. Moreover, three new quests associated with horse racing have been included: Horses for Courses, Racing Horseshoes, and The Executioner’s Edge.
Additionally, the patch consists of numerous enhancements throughout the game, such as accelerated fast travel speed while riding a horse, rectifying an issue where Henry’s loyal dog Mutt would occasionally attack him unexpectedly, and more. Complete patch notes for the 1.3 update can be located on the official KCD2 website.
Patch 1.3 arrives alongside Kingdom Come: Deliverance II’s initial paid DLC narrative expansion, Brushes With Death. In this expansion, Henry must assist a mysterious painter in finishing his life’s masterpiece—and uncover secrets from his past.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is currently available on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC. Brushes With Death can be purchased separately or as part of both the KCD2 Expansion Pass and Gold Edition.
