Famitsu returns with another glance at the Japanese gaming rankings, and as the Switch 2 approaches, the lull persists.

Konami’s latest visual novel, Tokimeki Memorial: Forever With You Emotional, capitalized on the sales decline and secured the top position in its initial week with 21,032 Switch copies sold. And if you believe that’s a modest figure, just wait to see the rest.

The Golden Week champion, The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy, is absent this time, with well-known titles like Minecraft, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and Super Mario Party Jamboree still prevailing in the upper ranks. However, none of the sales figures are particularly remarkable, as no title beyond the first place reached 10,000 copies.

Here’s a detailed overview of this week’s Japanese top ten:

Console sales are likewise quite stagnant. The three Switch models combined achieved a total of 29,710 sales this week, while Sony recorded 8,615. Nonetheless, there were a few minor shifts to maintain interest.

The PS5 Pro has climbed a position this week, pushing the standard Switch model down to fifth place. Moreover, the PlayStation 4 (yes, four) has outpaced both the Xbox Series X and Series X Digital Edition — albeit not by much!
