The Super Mario Galaxy Movie is set to premiere on 3rd April 2026, and Nintendo will be eager to make sure its promotional efforts are exceptional for the forthcoming sequel. This will likely involve maintaining a degree of secrecy around certain characters until the ideal moment.
Unfortunately… it appears someone has spilled the beans a tad too early… or should we say the Yoshi out of the bag?
Indeed, on the Tops Markets site, the American baking firm Pillsbury has revealed a new item that overtly displays two images of Yoshi from The Super Mario Galaxy Movie. One features the character prominently on the front of the packaging with Mario himself striking his most impressive ‘Galaxy pose’ in the backdrop.
The second image appears on the reverse, showcasing Mario riding Yoshi as they navigate through space. We also catch a glimpse of some potential planets featured in the movie along with what we presume is a loose interpretation of Rosalina’s Observatory. And could that be… Bowser Jr..? Indeed, it is.

Naturally, these fresh visuals also support an earlier revelation from ‘Old Spice’, which displayed a comparable image of Yoshi alongside another product featuring Luigi. This occurred back in September just before the official teaser trailer from Nintendo itself.
It’s been asserted that a trailer for the new film will premiere this month preceding Wicked: For Good, with conjecture suggesting a Direct presentation may happen on or prior to 21st November 2025.
If this is indeed true, then we think it’s quite safe to assume that Yoshi will appear in some form.
