Microsoft has disclosed that it has compensated developers in its ID@Xbox initiative over $5 billion since its launch in 2013.

In a blog entry, ID@Xbox director Guy Richards noted that ID@Xbox saw more than 1,000 games released in 2024, including Balatro, Stalker 2: Heart of Chernobyl, and Phasmophobia.

Richards also conversed with GameRant, revealing that ID@Xbox has collaborated with over 5,000 creators worldwide and has delivered around 6,000 titles since its establishment.

“If you were to ask anyone who was present when we initially launched the program if we would be reaching these figures in 2025, they wouldn’t have believed it,” he mentioned.

“This is a remarkable testament to the ingenuity of independent developers and the dedication of everyone at Xbox to assist creators everywhere.”
