We are now only weeks away from Metroid Prime 4: Beyond‘s highly awaited launch, and more information about it (inclusive of some previews) is starting to emerge online.
If you happened to overlook it, the projected digital file sizes for the Switch and Switch 2 Edition of Samus’ eagerly anticipated escapade have also been made available on the eShop and the official Nintendo site. Thus, if you weren’t aware, here’s what you should anticipate:
Metroid Prime 4: Beyond Estimated File Size
– Metroid Prime 4: Beyond (Switch) – 28.9 GB
– Metroid Prime 4: Beyond – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition – 31.6 GB
Naturally, these sizes are currently still categorized as an “estimate” and may change before or after the launch, based on the patches and updates released. The eShop has also listed Metroid Prime 4’s Upgrade Pack with a size of 1.5 GB.
In contrast, Metroid Prime Remastered (derived from the initial Prime installment) is just under 7 GB according to the Switch eShop.
As previously confirmed, the Switch 2 version of Metroid Prime 4 accommodates higher resolution, enhanced frame rates, HDR, and mouse controls. In docked mode, players can select 4K at 60fps (quality) or 1080p at 120fps (performance). Meanwhile, in handheld/tabletop mode, the selections include 1080p at 60fps (quality) and 720p at 120fps (performance).
