By One of the most astonishing announcements from the Nintendo Switch 2 Presentation earlier this week was the unveiling of The Duskbloods, a new eight-player PvPvE game from the developers of Elden Ring and Bloodborne, From Software. While some may have presumed this new title was originally intended for Nintendo’s new console, a recent interview released on the official Nintendo site reveals a different story.
Nintendo shared an interview with From Software director Hidetaka Miyazaki to discuss The Duskbloods, which includes additional details about the game and its development origins. In Part 1 of the interview, Miyazaki confirms that From Software and Nintendo had discussions about an unconventional project well before the specifics of the Switch 2 were finalized, indicating that the project was initiated with the original Switch in mind.
