The very first glimpse of Vought Rising—yet another offshoot in The Boys saga—has landed…and it promises to show Soldier Boy in ways we’ve never witnessed.
Via thread on The Boys’ official Twitter page, debut stills of the key characters were posted, declaring: “Back then, these four were red-white-and-blue to the core. Meet the supes of VOUGHT RISING—an origin tale inside The Boys universe—now shooting.” The shots feature Jensen Ackles as Soldier Boy, Mason Dye interpreting Bombsight, Elizabeth Posey stepping into Private Angel, and Will Hochman suiting up as Torpedo. Not shown—for now—is Aya Cash’s Stormfront, though we fully expect more reveals down the line. Scroll down to take a look.
At San Diego Comic-Con 2024, showrunner Eric Kripke unveiled the prequel, calling it a “malicious murder-mystery chronicling Vought’s birth in the 1950s, Soldier Boy’s earliest capers, and the scheming of a Supe still known to fans as Stormfront, operating under the alias Clara Vought at the time.”
Back when these four screamed U-S-A more loudly than fireworks on the Fourth. Say hello to the supes of VOUGHT RISING—an all-new origin story set in the world of The Boys—now in production.

Do take note of Soldier Boy’s crisp, Eisenhower-era suit—sporting the comic-book eagle insignia rather than the Vought symbol seen on his Boys shield. The potty-mouthed powerhouse will also headline the coming fifth and final season of The Boys, promising what we anticipate will be its goriest, most revolting, and outright jaw-dropping run yet.
Season 5 of The Boys drops at some point in 2026. Meanwhile, Gen V season 2 debuts on Prime Video come September 15. For more picks, browse our rundown of top Prime Video series and the finest Prime Video films currently available.
