Finland’s Film Tampere Welcomes Pioneer Head of Video Games to Bridge Cinema and Gaming Worlds
“We take great pride in having convinced one of the top talents in Finland’s gaming sector to join our endeavor.”
The film price for the Tampere region in Finland has appointed its inaugural head of video games.
Arto Kayhko – a “veteran of mobile games and digital services” – will advocate for the area’s “rapidly expanding gaming industry on the global stage” as part of Film Tampere.
Kayhko will also be responsible for strengthening ties with Finland’s gaming community and various digital content creation industries.
The first collaborative project between the Tampere region’s film and video game sectors is a cinematic action game titled Alma, co-created by Dreamloop Games and Making Movies. It is an adaptation of an upcoming film of the same name, set in Finland during World War II, focusing on a teenage girl who gains superpowers and uses them to rescue her father from the battlefield. Eight decades later, however, Alma “must face the consequences.”
“We take great pride in having convinced one of the top talents in Finland’s gaming sector to join our endeavor to create a cohesive future for both industries.”
