Fallout: Season 1 was launched on 4K Blu-ray just a few days back, yet you can already secure a great bargain at Amazon. Typically priced at $40, Season 1’s 4K release is available for just $30, which matches the cost of the 1080p Blu-ray version. To clarify, this 4K bargain is for the standard edition encased in plastic, not the Limited Edition Steelbook. The Steelbook sold out soon after preorders commenced in April and made a brief return around last week’s launch for $43. And unlike some steelbook versions, it’s genuinely limited edition, as stated by Amazon, and was only “available while supplies last.”
Fallout: Season 1 Home Media:
- 4K Blu-ray — $30 (
$40) - 4K Steelbook — $43 | Sold out
- Blu-ray — $30
- DVD — $25
For limited-edition Blu-rays, there’s always a possibility of a reprint later, but the way Amazon managed preorders for the standard 4K edition indicates that stocks could indeed be depleted permanently. Amazon held off listing the standard edition for the same price ($40) until mid-May, after the Steelbook was sold out. The lack of a price variance between the two suggests the steelbook case was essentially an early preorder incentivization. Or perhaps it will be restocked tomorrow—no one can definitively say.
Regardless, the $10 discount on the standard edition serves as a comforting option for those who couldn’t obtain the one with more extravagant packaging and artwork at launch (July 8). The actual on-disc material is identical for both versions.
Fallout: Season 1 on 4K Blu-ray
$30 (was $40)
Fallout: Season 1 comprises a three-disc collection featuring all eight episodes in 4K resolution (2160p) with HDR (Dolby Vision and HDR10). It also offers enhanced sound thanks to Dolby Atmos and Dolby TrueHD 7.1 surround audio.
The eight episodes of Season 1 amount to 450 minutes (7.5 hours). Once you’ve completed the viewing, you can insert the special features disc to enjoy a range of behind-the-scenes shorts. Similar to various other 4K releases of shows and films, the additional content is found on a standard Blu-ray disc rather than a 4K one.

Fallout: Season 1 Special Edition Steelbook (4K Blu-ray)
$43 | Out of stock
If you’re truly keen on the Special Edition Steelbook, we suggest confirming to ensure it’s still out of stock. Should it return to availability, it’s likely to vanish quickly once more, so act swiftly.
The steelbook cover showcases unique character art on both the front and rear, while the inner art features a Vault-Tec advertisement with Vault Boy assuring you that all will be perfectly fine. Additionally, you’ll receive a slipcase and five art cards portraying the principal characters.
Fallout: Season 1 premiered on Prime Video last April and has garnered favorable critiques from both viewers and critics, distinguishing it as one of the rare live-action video game adaptations for television that truly reflects its source material. It’s relatively rare for Amazon to issue its own series on Blu-ray; hence, it’s exciting that Fallout is now accessible for viewing without a subscription. The physical copies were produced and circulated by Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment.
The series follows three protagonists navigating the Wasteland—a Vault dweller emerging into the outside world for the first time, a squire of the Brotherhood of Steel, and a lethal bounty hunter recognized as The Ghoul.
