The latest Destiny 2 episode, Heresy, is currently live, introducing a variety of exciting new features. Adjustments have been made to subclasses, which has altered the way of creating the ideal Destiny 2 builds throughout the game. After all, what is an epic storyline without some enjoyable new weapons to wield? We’ve compiled a comprehensive list of all the new weapons introduced to Destiny 2 with Heresy.

Destiny 2 Heresy Exotics

Lodestar Exotic trace rifle

Lodestar

This Arc Exotic Trace Rifle emits a low-intensity Starlight Beam and features enhanced stability and precision. Inflicting Arc damage from any source will align the weapon’s battery coils. Once fully aligned, press your alternative weapon action button to release the safety. This allows a hip-fired Starlight Beam to inflict Jolt on any targets struck for a limited time. You can also slow down the rate at which the battery depletes by aiming down the weapon’s sights. This unique Exotic can also be obtained in the seasonal pass, and its Arc energy makes it a perfect fit for the recent Arc adjustments made for all classes.

Finality’s Auger

This Solar Linear Fusion Rifle can be obtained after completing the Sundered Doctrine dungeon. Its Ruinscribe’s Forge perk allows you to hold down your alternate weapon action button to fire a special projectile that will deploy a Ruinscribe Turret. This requires three rounds of ammunition to fire and can be aimed skyward to provide optimal sightlines for the turret. Once placed, the turret will automatically engage nearby enemies. While the turret is active, Finality’s Auger can mark targets with its laser projectiles, causing the turret to prioritize these marked targets, delivering more powerful rounds at them. You can also use the alternate weapon action button to switch the laser fire mode on or off. Although this weapon is not viewable in-game yet, you can expect to see it after the first completion of the new dungeon.

Barrow-Dyad

One of the most visually stunning weapons in Destiny 2 to date, Barrow-Dyad is still shrouded in mystery. It was unveiled during the Heresy showcase on Bungie’s channels, and appears to be a powerful Strand SMG. Its intrinsic perk, Dismay Response, allows it to generate Blight by damaging foes. When the weapon is not firing, the Blight diminishes, and the magazine automatically replenishes. Manually reloading will convert the stored Blight into Blighted Seekers, which home in on enemies and deal Strand damage while bouncing between multiple targets. Another of Barrow-Dyad’s perks, Taken Divergence, provides ample amounts of Blight if you hit three or more targets in quick succession. Although it’s not yet known how to acquire this weapon, we suspect it will be featured in one of Heresy’s exotic missions.

Destiny 2 Heresy Seasonal Weapons

There are four new weapons available to obtain through Heresy Act 1’s seasonal story, The Nether.

Inflicting damage to enemies will create a restorative charge that can be used on an ally to heal them through hip firing. All Unique Destiny 2 Heresy Weapon Perks

As has been the case throughout Destiny 2’s episodic structure, unique perks are being introduced for Heresy.

The new weapon perks are:

  • Demoralize – Precision final blows weaken nearby targets. The cooldown between activations is reduced.
  • Detonator Beam – Dealing sustained damage creates an explosion around the target.
  • Elemental Honing – Inflicting elemental damage grants this weapon a stacking damage bonus for an extended duration, increased more for Kinetic weapons.
  • Melee Momentum – Melee final blows provide this weapon with additional bonus vitality and enhance movement speed while blocking.
  • Reciprocity – When healing projectiles reach allies, you also receive additional healing.
  • Recycled Energy – Reloading after defeating enemies restores extra vitality to your lowest charged skill.
  • Rolling Storm – Final blows grant Mobility Charge. While Amplified, final blows grant an additional Mobility Charge.
  • Hasten – Precision final blows cause nearby targets to become Severed and reduce cooldowns between activations.

Additionally, unique starting traits are being added to the game. These are specific to the Vault of Glass, Seasonal, and revived Season of Arrivals weapons. They are:

  • Timelost Magazine – Unique to Vault of Glass. Final blows with this weapon grant bonus Grand vitality. When your Grand expires, this weapon’s magazine size is doubled for an extended time and reloads from reserves.
  • Willing Vessel – Unique to Seasonal content. Inflicting damage or defeating targets with this weapon gradually boosts stability, handling, reload speed, and charge rate. This increase diminishes over time but is regained faster when near allies.
  • Paracausal Fluid – Unique to revived Season of Arrivals weapons. Enjoy bonus handling and mobility when damaging targets with this weapon. Swords receive an increased charge rate while this perk is active.

Now you have acquired insight into all the unique and revived weapons being introduced to the game.
