A new season is about to begin in Pokemon Go, and the mobile game is launching in an impressive way with a variety of both new and returning events throughout March.
The new May and Mastery season will mark the arrival of the mythical Pokemon Kubfu, which will feature as part of the season-long Special Research storyline beginning March 5. Additionally, the game plans to host two Community Days this month, as well as a Dynamax Raikou Max Battle Weekend and a Mega Absol Raid Day.
That is just the beginning of March’s activities, with the Bug Out, Festival of Colors, and others also set to appear in the coming weeks. You can find all the main events happening in Pokemon Go this month below.
March Raid Schedule
Pokemon Go is refreshing its raid schedules again starting March 4.
The legendary birds Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres will return to five-star raids in the first half of the month, with Tapu Koko and Heatran expected to follow later in March. Meanwhile, Mega Raids will include Mega Lucario, Mega Swampert, and Mega Pinsir, while Shadow Regice will appear in special Shadow Raids each weekend.
A new set of Dynamax Pokemon will also be featured in Max Battles throughout the month, including Chansey, Machop, and Caterpie. You can find March’s complete Raid Schedule below:

Pokemon Go is organizing additional weekly Spotlight Hour events throughout March, with fresh opportunities featuring unique Pokemon and bonuses to look forward to this month.
Every Tuesday evening from 6-7 PM local time, one specific Pokemon species will appear in the wild more frequently, making this a great chance to complete your Pokedex and stock up on candy. Furthermore, you might receive an extra bonus during that hour, such as double XP or Stardust for catching Pokemon.

Significant Potential

Pokemon Go is starting its new season with a special event called Significant Potential, taking place from March 5-10.
This event will commemorate the launch of the May and Mastery Special Research storyline, which will introduce the mythical Wushu Pokemon Kubfu into the game. Moreover, you’ll have your first opportunity to acquire a shiny Charcadet during the event.
Alongside the featured Pokemon, event-themed Timed and Field Research tasks will be available throughout the event, as well as special Raid and Max Battle bosses.

Pokémon Go’s first Community Day of March is set to unfold on March 8, showcasing the fire-type croc Fuecoco.
From 2-5 PM local time, Fuecoco will be appearing more frequently in the wild, and you may have an increased chance of spotting a shiny Fuecoco. Furthermore, if you evolve Fuecoco into Crocalor before March 15, it will learn the exclusive Charged Move Blast Burn upon evolution.
Alongside the increased sightings of Fuecoco, several bonuses will be active during the event. Any Lure Modules or Incense you use will last for three hours, and you can earn triple Stardust and double XP for catching Pokémon. The game will also feature special Timed and Field Research tasks to complete throughout the event.
Festival of Colors
The celebrations carry on with the return of the Festival of Colors event, taking place from March 13-17. More key details will be revealed closer to the event date.
Dynamax Raikou Max Battle Weekend

Pokémon trainers will get the opportunity to catch another Dynamax legendary Pokémon during a special Dynamax Raikou Max Battle Weekend, which is planned for March 15-16.
In addition to battling Dynamax Raikou in five-star Max Raids, the event will feature a variety of bonuses. The Max Particle limit will temporarily increase to 1,600, and Energy Spots will reset more frequently. Plus, you will earn eight times the usual number of Max Particles from Energy Spots.
Catch Mastery: Archen
Pokémon is hosting another Catch Mastery event, this time featuring the fossil Pokémon Archen. This event is set for March 16, running from 10 AM to 8 PM local time.
Deep Depths
Pokémon Go’s March and Catch Mastery season will continue with a new event titled Deep Depths, scheduled for March 19-24. More important features regarding this event will be announced later in March.

The second Community Day of March is lined up for March 22, and this event will be a Community Day Classic, focusing on the water-type Pokémon Totodile.
Throughout this occasion, Totodile will be appearing more frequently in the wild, and you will have better chances of encountering a shiny Totodile. Additionally, any Croconaw you evolve into Feraligatr before March 29 will know the Charged Move Hydro Cannon.
Moreover, the game will offer event-themed Timed and Field Research tasks to complete, along with several bonuses. Lure Modules and Incense will stay active for three hours instead of their usual duration, and any eggs placed in Incubators will hatch at a quarter of the standard distance needed.
Mega Absol Raid Day
Mega Absol will headline another special Raid Day event planned for March 23.
Bug Out
Pokémon Go’s Bug Out event returns from March 26-30. This event typically centers on bug-type Pokémon, but Niantic is keeping this year’s key features under wraps until later in the month.
Fuzzy Buddy Research Day
Pokémon Go will close March with a Fuzzy Buddy Research Day on March 29. Additional major features will be revealed closer to the event date.
