If you’re a game creator with aspirations of striking it rich in the live-service arena, former SIE chairman Shawn Layden suggests those may merely be fanciful illusions.

It’s well-known that certain areas of the gaming sector have become congested, and although the alarmingly erratic reductions that have been occurring might suggest otherwise, I don’t foresee that changing anytime soon with the growth of the indie sector and, regrettably, the surge of AI.
