Dragon Ball Super: Broly is set to receive a new collectible Blu-ray on November 4, and enthusiasts can benefit from a discount on their preorder at Amazon. After initially running out of stock at Amazon in August, Broly’s Steelbook Edition has returned for $34 (was $40).
The 2018 animated film marked the inaugural Dragon Ball Super movie. Significantly, series originator Akira Toriyama crafted the script and oversaw the creation of the widely praised reinterpretation of Broly’s narrative from the trio of films from the mid-’90s in the original movie series.
Dragon Ball Super: Broly is the second feature in the contemporary Dragon Ball film franchise featuring a Steelbook Edition. Fans can also acquire Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero’s Steelbook Edition for $33.84. In contrast to Broly, Super Hero represents a 4K and 1080p Blu-ray combo package.

Initially launched in 2018, Dragon Ball Super: Broly, introduced a beloved character into the primary timeline of the franchise. Even though Broly made a significant impact in his 1993 film debut and two 1994 films–compiled as the Broly Triple Feature on Blu-ray–these were primarily non-canonical appearances.
The contemporary film effectively integrated him into the Dragon Ball universe, and unexpectedly, it also transformed him into a relatable character with a heartbreaking backstory. Additionally, the film introduced Gogeta into the official Dragon Ball lore, and on a technical scale, the dynamic animation is breathtaking.
Current Dragon Ball Film Series

Broly is included in the modern film series of Dragon Ball that commenced in 2013 with Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods. The 2022 film is the sole Dragon Ball movie featuring a 4K Blu-ray version. Moreover, Super Hero is also available in a 4K Steelbook Edition, enabling you to showcase it alongside the new edition of Broly.
