Last February, Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor stormed onto the scene, shifting one million units in its opening seven days of early access. Next month, the top-down, solo dwarf shooter finally graduates to version 1.0, and—as revealed at Gamescom—it’s also blasting its way onto Xbox Series X|S and Game Pass.

On September 17, Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor will surface simultaneously on PC and Xbox Series X|S. GameSpot’s Chris Pereira found the early-access build thoroughly entertaining, likening it to Vampire Survivors. Players command a lone dwarf in one of four roles—Driller, Engineer, Scout, and Gunner—each offering unique gadgets as you plunge into Hoxxes IV, a procedurally generated rock teeming with riches and ravenous aliens.

Earlier this year, Ghost Ship Games locked in the launch date while confirming that Endless Mode had to be cut for 1.0. Developers at Funday Games explained that keeping the mode in would create technical hurdles likely to delay release, though they still intend to bolt it on later.

Survivor isn’t the lone offshoot of the celebrated co-op shooter Deep Rock Galactic. Ghost Ship Games is also forging a roguelite follow-up dubbed Deep Rock Galactic: Rogue Core. No launch window has been announced yet, but a fresh trailer dropped earlier this year to sink your pickaxe into.
