By This impressive collaboration kicks off next month
As part of the Batman Day festivities last year, Sega unveiled an exciting partnership with DC Comics, where the blue speedster and friends would unite with the Dark Knight and other iconic heroes from the DC realm.
Now, in a recent update, we have a glimpse of the cover art for the very first issue of this unique crossover, including a variant cover. As you can see, both Sonic’s team and the DC roster are featured, showcasing characters like Wonder Woman and The Flash. The inaugural issue is set to launch on March 19, 2025, with the main cover illustrated by Pablo M. Collar (DC, Marvel) and the variant ‘B’ cover crafted by Ethan Younger (Marvel, Transformers, TMNT).
If you missed our previous coverage about this exciting crossover comic – Sonic and his pals will transform into DC heroes. This includes Shadow as Batman, Sonic as The Flash, Silver as Green Lantern, Amy as Wonder Woman, Knuckles as Superman, and Tails as Cyborg.
There will be one issue of the comic released each month, with the series penned by Ian Flynn. Additionally, there will be a collector’s edition that gathers all the comics, along with merchandise such as accessories, toys, and more planned for Fall 2025. Sega of America has also announced that this event featuring DC and the Sonic universe will carry on into 2026.
