Cyberpunk 2077 Update Announced For Switch 2, Here Are The Full Patch Notes
Cd Projekt Red has revealed a fresh update for Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition on Switch 2, introducing four new vehicles and a multitude of enhancements.
At this moment, there’s no launch date for the update, but we anticipate it may be closer than expected. It will be released on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC tomorrow (that’s 17th July 2025). We will keep you updated as soon as we learn more about the Switch 2 version.
For now, let’s explore what’s coming, shall we?
Vehicles
Four new vehicles have been added, alongside several Side Jobs related to obtaining them:
- Yaiba ARV-Q340 Semimaru
Reward from a new side mission (to unlock, finish The Hunt and The Beast In Me).
An additional side job unlocks the CrystalCoat™ feature for this vehicle.
- Rayfield Caliburn “Mordred”
Reward from a new side mission (to unlock, finish The Beast in Me: Badlands, The Beast in Me: Santo Domingo, Transmission, and Search and Destroy).
- Yaiba ASM-R250 Muramasa
Reward from a new side mission (to unlock, buy 1 Yaiba vehicle, acquire at least 3 vehicles through AUTOFIXER, and complete Reported Crime: You Play with Fire…).
If you fail the side mission, the vehicle can later be purchased via AUTOFIXER.
- Chevillon Legatus 450 Aquila
Available for purchase on AUTOFIXER.
- Introducing AutoDrive! This state-of-the-art, self-driving feature will navigate you to your selected destination (i.e. job objective or placed marker on the map). If you haven’t set a destination, it will provide a leisurely tour through the streets of Night City. Just hop in any of your vehicles, ensure you’re on a road, and hold H (PC) / Left Stick (consoles) to activate. This feature gets disabled when you enter combat or if your vehicle sustains significant damage.
- Cinematic Camera for AutoDrive has been implemented. Hold Q (PC) / D-Pad Right (consoles) to enable. Sit back and enjoy cinematic visuals of Night City while cruising towards your destination.
- Self-driving Delamain cabs are now available on demand! Just open the menu to call vehicles, then choose “Delamain Cab” from the list to request a ride. This feature becomes available after completing the job Don’t Lose Your Mind (regardless of the outcome) and receiving a message from Delamain.
- Rayfield’s CrystalCoat™ is now applicable for vehicles from partner brands, including motorcycles. Additionally, the notorious hacker known as Cosmetic_Troll exploited a bug and created a cracked version of Rayfield’s CrystalCoat™ technology for lower-end vehicles. Please note, however, that some models do not support the technology, such as heavily modified nomad vehicles and job-specific vehicles.
- Resolved an issue where unique color schemes did not function correctly on the Mizutani Shion MZ1 and MZ2.
- Resolved an issue where unique color schemes could not be applied correctly to the Villefort Deleon “Vindicator”.
Photo Mode
- Introduced 27 new NPCs that can be spawned in Photo Mode, such as Rita Wheeler, the Cassel twins, fixers, Dum Dum, the iguana, Brendan, and others.
- You can now switch between alternative outfits for NPCs spawned in Photo Mode.
- You can now switch between V’s saved Wardrobe outfits in Photo Mode.
- A confirmation pop-up has been added when exiting Photo Mode to avoid accidental exits after setting up the ideal shot.
- More customization options have been included for the Look-At Camera feature, offering an option for solely the character’s eyes to face the camera rather than their entire body.
Added enhancements to Lighting:
- Numerous new stickers and frames have been introduced, including iconic quotes and stylish overlays that enable you to convert your screenshots into Night City postcards – ideal for sharing memories from the City of Dreams.
- Enhanced Depth of Field and relocated it to the Camera tab.
- A new Color Balance tab has been added, allowing you to create your custom filters.
A new Time and Weather tab has been introduced:
Quality of Life & Accessibility
- The game will now recognize if the player is using inverted mouse button settings and automatically adjusts in-game button prompts accordingly.
- An option to toggle aiming down sights has been added in Settings → Controls.
Jobs & Open World
- Cyberpsycho Sighting: Bloody Ritual – the “Crack the ritualist’s shard” objective now properly disappears from the Journal after completing the task.
- Sex on Wheels – now correctly appears in the Journal after receiving the message from Jake Estevez.
- Shot by Both Sides – fixed an issue where selecting a particular dialogue option in the conversation with Bree created a nameless, iconless item in the player’s Inventory.
- Shot by Both Sides – resolved an issue where the button to go to the lower level didn’t show up on the elevator panel.
Gameplay
- Fixed an issue where, when using a controller in Trauma Drama, the controllable character would default to shooting upwards instead of forward.
- Players can now drop additional Cyberware Capacity Shards if some within the desired drop limit were missed earlier.
- Fixed an issue causing automatic weapons to fire slower than intended.
- Fixed an issue where the Official BARGHEST Tac Vest didn’t drop from the scripted Airdrop as expected.
- The level 60 Engineer perk no longer triggers the EMP blast outside of combat or after entering a vehicle.
- An option to replay the gameplay tutorial at any moment via Settings → Controls has been added.
Miscellaneous
- An option to tell Johnny to leave you alone after you glance at him for a brief moment when he appears in the passenger seat has been added. He will take the hint and vanish as a passenger for a couple of days.
- Fixed an issue where the sound of V’s Radioport could be sporadically interrupted by the Radioports of nearby NPCs.
- Fixed an issue where History by Gazelle Twin and Trash Generation played too loudly compared to other tracks on the radio.
- Enhanced the HDR Setting screen: fixed the HDR calibration preview so it accurately reflects the selected settings and clarified the description of the “Tone-Mapping Midpoint” setting.
- Updated the End User License Agreement. You will be prompted to accept it again when you load the game after the update.
- Resolved various visual issues with absent, clipping, or floating textures.
- Fixed multiple localization issues in several languages.
