Cyberpunk 2077‘s upcoming update, patch 2.3, is set to arrive tomorrow; however, one developer at CD Projekt Red is notably disheartened that players overlooked a clue about one of its forthcoming vehicles.
During a new REDstream held today, it was revealed that patch 2.3 will introduce a new motorcycle alongside three new cars. One of these, as highlighted by lead designer at Virtuos Adrien Jouannet, will resonate with aficionados of the Cyberpunk 2077: Kickdown comic series. It’s the Yaiba ARV-Q340 Semimaru, which the patch notes disclose can be earned as a “reward from a new side job,” by completing both The Hunt and The Beast in Me.”
Pretty exciting, right? Well, Cyberpunk 2077 quest design director Paweł Sasko, who also acts as associate game director for the forthcoming Cyberpunk sequel, agrees. Nonetheless, he is urging fans to “pay closer attention” after a teaser for the vehicle went entirely unnoticed.
“We actually included a bit of a clue for you all if you paid attention,” Sasko reveals. “So if you flip to the last page of that comic book, there’s actually a picture of the Yaiba Semimaru that we incorporated here some time back just to give you a hint and see how much you’re observing what we are doing in various media.”
“I know that some of you are, but I didn’t see this on Reddit, so I find myself a bit let down I have to say, Reddit folks,” he continues. “Guys, you really should pay more attention because we’re doing a lot of things that you’re missing.”
Oops. Apologies, Sasko. Now I’m just wondering what else we’ve seemingly overlooked – we’ll need to stay alert moving forward.
