Clearly The Final of Us’ recap trailer entails that infected kiss

As a well-liked writer among Eurogamer readers, I must admit I have a soft spot for The Last of Us. So naturally, when I came across the recent trailer for HBO’s adaptation, I couldn’t resist clicking on it. I was pleasantly surprised this morning to find out that the trailer had been released.

However, it appears the trailer is not for the upcoming second season. Instead, it serves as a handy recap of the first season in a package lasting just over five minutes. As you might expect, it encompasses all the essential plot points to ensure you’re up to speed – including the origin of the outbreak (and the emotional turmoil stemming from that fateful night), Ellie’s unique immunity, David (shivers), and the dramatic hospital finale.
