Company issues an apology
Limited Run Games has sent emails to its customers informing them that both Rugrats: Adventures in Gameland and Piopow for NES might potentially cause damage to the consoles or cartridges if used for extended periods.
As pointed out by John Riggs on Bluesky (thanks, Time Extension), Limited Run has stated that these specific games were not produced by its regular manufacturer and were instead managed by another team that has “only worked on a very limited number of titles.”
Limited Run is currently reviewing all games created by this particular team and has ceased the sale of both Rugrats and Piopow. For those who have already acquired either title, you can opt for a replacement from Limited Run’s regular manufacturing partner or request a full refund. Those who wish to receive a replacement will not need to contact Limited Run; this process will be handled automatically.
